Welcome. This is a new series of unpublished poetry called Bloom: A season of grief and gratitude. The free introduction to this series is here. I hope these poems touch something inside your heart beyond words and weave a tapestry of connection between all of us. 💗
Hello.
This is a poem for anyone who feels stuck, stagnant, or left out in the cold.
Below the frozen stream or the frozen lake or the frozen life, there is movement.
The title refers to the first full moon in January, a time of austerity and what might look like barrenness. Life can appear more fragile now, like a thin layer of ice, we must tread a little softer, walk carefully, and peer beyond the surface to see evidence of our aliveness.
