Yay! What genre of book would you like to receive? I have a pretty healthy library with a variety and I'd love to send you something!
For the fairy garden, we don't have anything yet but a big stump! Happy to receive anything you'd like to share as Noah and I will be slowly building our little garden together!
Oooh. Okay. I'll send you a little surprise from one of those categories. I've been thinking about doing "book date" ideas and incorporating recipes, playlists, etc. to go along with some of my favorite books. I'd love to do that for you, too! Give me a couple of weeks to work on it and I'll send something by the end of the month! 🙌📚
My name is Kara and I'm on LONG ISLAND, EAST HAMPTON, NEW YORK.
RESORCES OFFERED:
I offer a daily writing group on Zoom where we write together in silence.
It is a growing group of creatives who need a place and a time to show up for their work!
I offer the first week free and of course its free ongoing for creatives who can't afford another subscription! WRITERS DAILY DIVE meets weekdays at 1:00 PM, EDT, for one hour.
Hi Kara, lovely to meet you here! I’m a new transplant to nyc and a writer and would LOVE to be interviewed by you! Can we connect in the chat, perhaps?
I so love this idea of a connection/collaborative economy. I must admit I really struggled thinking about what I could offer/what I needed or wanted. But that means it's a great prompt for reflection!
My name is Ashley and I'm in Alexandria, VA.
RESOURCES OFFERED:
1. I can share with you a yoga class from my very vast archive of videos--tell me what you need and I'll send along a practice for you.
2. Happy to read a post for you and offer feedback if you want an editor for something you're writing.
3. Also have tons of guided meditations. Same as above, tell me what you need and I've probably got something I can send you!
RESOURCES NEEDED:
1. I've been thinking about writing a series of children's books but I have absolutely no idea how to go about doing that. If anyone has experience in this genre, I would love to know more!
2. Looking for healthy, very quick recipes as I have a newborn and two other children and struggle to get a good dinner on the table these days.
3. Would love some feedback on the about page and bio I'm retooling.
Hi Ashley! These are all great, thank you for sharing! I struggled with meal planning a LOT (we have an almost three year old) and finally came up with a Meal Rotation doc that has a built in grocery list that my husband and I can both access on Google Drive and take turns ordering/buying groceries for weekly.
If that sounds helpful, I'm happy to send you a copy/template! We don't eat a lot of meat so most of them are plant based but they are easy and our kiddo eats most of them! They're also fairly customizable so if you want to swap out seasonal ingredients or put your own twist on them, I'd call them "foundation" recipes you can easily adapt to your preferences.
Send me a DM with your email address if you'd like and I can send it this week :)
Hi Nicole! Send me a message with your email address and I'll forward it to you. I recorded a little voice note for Ashley and I'll send that along too. 😊
Hi @Ashley Zuberi! Thanks for the tag @Ryan Rose Weaver (she/hers)! A great place to get started with easy family dinners is this MVP recipe list! These are all tried and true recipes that work for me as a busy mom who loves good food https://thenewfamilytable.substack.com/p/mvp-recipes
Hi Ashley, the websites chelseasmessyapron.com and greensandchocolate.com have been go to’s for us since having kids. It’s maybe not the best time of year for soup, but in particular this recipe is easy (literally just dump things in the crockpot and no chopping) and a crowd-pleaser https://www.chelseasmessyapron.com/easy-crockpot-creamy-chicken-enchilada-chili/ Also the Good Enough cookbook. I always had grand ideas about ayurveda and bone broth postpartum, but sometimes you just gotta eat :)
1. I'm great at sharing ways you can create organisation / structure inside of your business - I'd happily support you on this over a call for one hour.
2. I can write you a poem based on something you're going through :)
3. I can create you a guided meditation based on what you're experiencing and share it with you
RESOURCES NEEDED:
1. I'd love some beautiful graphics / branding for my Substack and I'm also looking to improve what I share and create a sense of community on here - support around this would be amazing
2. I'd love to feel connected to individuals that are growing their business and are also neurodivergent - kinda someone who could be my penpal via email would be awesome
3. I'm going back into my business more deeply and I'm looking for spaces where I can meet and connect with clients (this is what I do: https://www.emmaevelyncampbell.com/partnerships) with my neurodivergence I really struggle with 'selling' and 'pitching myself', so finding spaces where I feel safe to share is amazing - if anyone could point me in the direction for something like this, communities, places, that'd be amazing
Hi Emma, I would love some feedback on creating order and structure in business if you have time to do that. I am also neurodivergent, and very happy to share with you around that or see if I have ideas to support your pitch to others.
I'd love to write you one Breeann! Feel free to drop me an email on what you'd like to have one about, or if you'd like it to be open emma@emmaevelyncampbell.com or you can message me on here :)
That would be amazing thank you! I'd love to help you out in return also. You can drop me an email, emma@emmaevelyncampbell.com and we can pick up from there, or drop me a message here on Substack :)
2. If you need help naming someone or something, I'd love to offer my services--I've been helping name babies for many years and am trying to expand to helping people name other beings and precious things, and I know the process is different but don't know how yet as I need to test out some worksheets and whatnot.
3. I have a deep special interest in preparedness and can share resources there.
RESOURCES SOUGHT:
1. I'm very new to Substack and trying to monetize a bit (trying to side hustle to help support my family while partner recovers from burnout): would welcome any tips on growing audience, paid and otherwise ❤️
2. Would love to hear about your favorite sci fi or fantasy fiction you've read this year.
3. Tips for fitting in creative life stuff while homeschooling and keeping my house from falling down around my ears would be great 😅🤪
Hi Hannah, nice to meet you here. I would love to do a birth chart reading. In exchange, I am happy to share ideas from growing my Substack (with the proviso that I only know how to slow grow and only recently turned on paid) and from developing creative rituals in a busy life.
I've just gotten into fantasy and I'm loving it as a genre! My new favorite author is Alix E. Harrow. She wrote "The Ten Thousand Doors of January," "The Once and Future Witches," and "Starling House." https://alixeharrow.wixsite.com/author/books
I also loved "The Threads of Power" by Victoria E. Schwab. It's on loan to a friend right now but I could send it to you when they're done reading it!
I'm reading and loving Ryka Aoki's Light from Uncommon Stars right now. Other fantasy I've really enjoyed in the last year includes Robin Hobb's giant Realm of the Elderlings series (that's an investment, sixteen books!) and TJ Klune's House in the Cerulean Sea. I've been on more of a sci-fi kick lately but that's more because of what's happened to cross my path than anything else.
Actually have never read any Victoria Schwab (gasp!) I'd love to give it a shot :)
It's sort of a mix between historical fiction and fantasy, but I love The Lost Queen trilogy by Signe Pike and when you get to the third one, I can send you a hard copy of that.
2. If you have an article/essay/art on your page that relates to art+psychology (broadly defined), I'm also happy to cross-post that to my readers to further spread your work.
3. I would love to send you art/ exchange art. I create collage cards/ booklets and found poetry and would love to send a piece from my collection to you.
Hi Kathryn, this is lovely - I wonder, i relation to point 2 above - if you might be interested in cross-posting this piece, which I wrote a while ago about a photo exchange with a friend of mine. It was a way art helped me with adjusting to a new life, while staying connected to friends: https://notesfromcatriona.substack.com/p/framing-change-from-scotland-to-dubai Happy to discuss and exchange ideas.
Amazing - I see your already did this Kathyrn - I didn’t even know cross-posting was a thing - that’s exciting. Look forward to hearing what your readers think.
I love cross-posting people's work that I think my readers will take an interest in. It feels more effective to actually send it to my readers than just to restack it where it may or may not get seen.
You're still welcome to participate! Part of the magic of sharing and offering resources is that it can expand beyond this group. There's power in opening ourselves to receive what we need...in any form! Same with practicing generosity. There may not be someone directly in this group to connect with, but I'd be surprised if the opportunity didn't present itself in another way! 😊💗
