How can we continue on? My mind wanders dark avenues with no light, charts centuries of human despair.

Dear Ones,

I speak of the experience of both/and here a lot. Of heart muscle stretching to hold sorrow side by side seedlings of hope, of grief married to gratitude. This week was no exception. After a picture-perfect Thanksgiving with family, a sunny walk in our neighborhood turned tragic within seconds as we witnessed a fatal crash, less than two blocks from where we stood.
